Freedman Nest July 2014 exhibit

WSS offers exceptional, high quality art instruction in an intimate environment. Students work from direct observation, in the studio and outdoors, and study masterworks at Washington area museums. Classes are small (generally 8-12 students) and include demonstration, critique and art history to inform students on how artists have approached an resolved problems. First-time students are encouraged to enroll in beginning drawing classes to provide a strong foundation upon which to build an art practice, as well as to gain an introduction to the school, its faculty and philosophy.

Class size is limited to 12 students. If your class selection is full at registration, please ask to be placed on a waitlist.
