Drawing Into Painting

Instructor: Diane Wilson

Saturday and Sunday, January 18 and 19th

10am-5pm

The point of reference for this workshop will be the model. The interaction between drawing and painting will be the focus of the days. For some, everything will take place on the canvas with paint and/or charcoal. Others may prefer initially working on paper and perhaps even going back to paper at any point in the process.

Work by Jenny Saville, Willem deKooning, Edgar Degas, and the Lascaux caves may be considered.

Drawing paper and/or canvas or wood panels will be suitable, necessary or recommended surfaces.

Who is this workshop for: This workshop is best for those with previous figure drawing experience.
