This course is designed for students who have completed three levels of Introduction to Drawing and are now ready to challenge themselves by pushing observational skills into more expressive mark-making, stretching form, and considering abstraction within representation. Students will be working intensively from various resources which include historical references, live models, and elaborate still-life set-ups, all of which are designed to propel the individual’s visual problem-solving skills to the next level.

2, 4, 6B pencils
water-soluble graphite pencil
Viarco artgraf water soluble graphite stick
willow vine charcoal
soft compressed charcoal
CHAR-KOAL STICK
soft white pastel
small bottle of sumi ink
- #6 and # 2 brushes

If you are unsure if a class is right for you, please read our Pathway To Sucess: A Guide or have a conversation with a Faculty member or our Head of Faculty before the first week of the 10-week term ends. Once the second week of classes starts, no refunds will be offered.
For Workshops, Artist Demos, and Short Classes (classes less than 10 weeks in duration) - only withdrawals more than 14 days before the first day of class – 100% tuition refund*
A $25 administrative fee is applied to all refunds.
