Creating dramatic landscapes through collected cinematic references and dioramas, students will be introduced to the intricacies of light through an exploration of edges, and shape tension, geometric perspective, in reference to architecture. Students will be introduced to specific palettes referencing nature and dystopias. Keeping a sketchbook will be required, and students will work on multiple, large paintings.

NOTE: Gesso Day is January 6th. Join us at WSS between 2-6pm, to learn how to stretch and gesso your own canvases and prepare surfaces for the upcoming term! RSVP is required to attend.

If you are unsure if a class is right for you, please read our Pathway To Sucess: A Guide or have a conversation with a Faculty member or our Head of Faculty before the first week of the 10-week term ends. Once the second week of classes starts, no refunds will be offered.
For Workshops, Artist Demos, and Short Classes (classes less than 10 weeks in duration) - only withdrawals more than 14 days before the first day of class – 100% tuition refund*
