Responding to the NGA

All Levels

Instructor: Trevor Young

Mondays, 2-5 pm, begins February 19th

6 weeks, In-person / Room 3A, NGA

Experience the National Gallery of Art with purpose.

Students will meet at the NGA 3 times during the term, and the rest of the meetings will be at WSS. Students will have access to the print study rooms at the NGA, and will be able to view specific works on paper. These works, used as influences during the term, will include surrealism, abstract expressionism, formal realism, as well as other historical movements. Through this lens of study, students will develop work that combines philosophical approaches and new techniques to their work.
