Drawing: The Single Object Dramatically Lit
Instructor: Trevor Young
July 6 - August 10 (six weeks)
Mondays, 2 - 5 pm EST
A drawing of a single object in a space can be poetic, evocative, mysterious, aggressive, or simply descriptive depending on how it is lit, placed on the page, the context it is in, the material it is drawn with, the types of marks, the surface of the paper, and the individual handwriting of the artist. In this class, students will make drawings that seem simple in nature but are full of complexity, drama, choice, skill and possibility. It will be taught live via Zoom, with demos, image sharing, and lots of individual feedback. Instructions for using Zoom will be sent prior to the class.
