Finding one’s entry point into abstraction can be difficult without a solid understanding of the steps that lead there. In this class, students will engage in very strategic exercises that serve as the structure onto which abstract painting is built. Students will discover multiple methods of creating an abstract painting which include various approaches to color, composition, layering, and mark-making.
This class is not for beginners. It is recommended that students have taken several terms of painting classes before considering this class.
