Exhibition Statement
I was deeply honored to serve as the juror for the “Matter of Pride” exhibit. As a gay man and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I recognize the vital importance of sharing our stories—and of listening, learning, and supporting each other along the way. Art has a unique ability to capture the depth and complexity of human experience through color, texture, imagery, and material. I was profoundly moved by the breadth and quality of the work submitted, each piece offering an intimate glimpse into a personal journey. The works I selected for this exhibit reflect the remarkable talent and rich diversity within our community, representing the many voices that make up the vibrant spectrum of queer experience.
