Curated by Trevor Young, this group exhibition brings together 14 national and local artists exploring the tension between dystopian and utopian themes. The show weaves together figurative realism and abstraction through a visual language of flora, fauna, grids, and broken grids — with threads of humor, darkness, and everything in between. Artists include Reem Bassous, Lindsay Mueller, Taegan Treichel, Mira Hecht, Jenny Kranzler, Trevor Young, Valerie Larko, Matt Pinney, Zach Storm, and Alex Schaefer. SHIT SHOW 2026 marks the SECOND year of our annual benefit exhibition. SHIT SHOW is modeled around the Salon de Refuse in an attempt to normalize and reclaim rejection. As a result we will exhibit rejection letters alongside the artwork (via QR code). SHIT SHOW is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED exhibition opportunity. There is NO jurying (say no to rejection!).
