More Information

Learn some of the basics of intaglio printmaking using tetrapak cartons. The inside of your soy milk, coconut water and other cartons can be cut to create effects similar to those in drypoint, etching and aquatint printmaking. Explore the basics of designing, inking, and printing using these recycled materials in this make-and-take open session in the WSS printmaking studio.

This is also the perfect workshop to bring kids (12y+) and teens too! Tetrapak is an easy and fun way to printmake, and they'll love turning household goods into artwork.

Please bring your own cartons! Tetrapak is a silvery film material found on the inside of certain carton products - make sure it's the right material before bringing it to the workshop! We want to ensure your ability to participate to the fullest.

Workshop led by Lee Butler, Washington Studio School Master Certificate Graduate and Corcoran Alumni
