Join us at Washington Studio School Gallery for an Artist Talk on Sunday, August 9th, in reflection of the Hiroshima Revisited exhibition. Visiting artist Yumiko Glover will trace her family's history with Hiroshima through mujō, the Buddhist and Zen concept of impermanence. Her paintings respond to that history without recreating the scene itself, focusing instead on each precious life lost across both Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and she will also discuss the colors and elements in her work that reflect her personal experience of being raised in Japan but having lived most of her adult life in the United States.
