About the event
Led by WSS faculty member Rachael Bohlander, join the exploration of one of D.C.'s most beautiful parks and draw from all that it has to offer, from lush wooded areas and swampy wetlands to the glorious reflections off Kingman Lake and the Anacostia River. Bring your own supplies. Picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the islands make for perfect seating as do fallen logs and riverside rocks.
We'll meet at the park entrance at 4pm; latecomers are welcome. You can contact Rachael during the event via her Instagram account/messaging: @Rachael.Bohlander. For directions and more information about the park, please click HERE
RSVPs are not required but appreciated. The event will be canceled in the event of rain. Hope to see you there!
WSS is thrilled to offer free public art events throughout August. Our programming is supported in-part by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
