Things are heating up at Washington Studio School! Join us on April 18th from 6 to 8 pm for our grand opening of our Inglenook Gallery, featuring Housewarming, a solo show featuring handcrafted miniature wood works by Mike O’Brien. Through his latest series of watercolor and acrylic paintings on contour-cut wood panels, Mike blends childhood cartoons with American traditional tattoos, exploring symbols and compositions. Influenced by early punk culture, his bold lines and vibrant colors showcase a refined artistic style informed by screen-printing techniques and skillful distillation of his practice.
