Safety and Health

WSS COVID Health and Safety Measures:

As of May 11, 2023, with the expiration of the federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19, wearing masks in Washington Studio School will no longer be mandatory.

Please keep in mind that we are in a small classroom space for three hours at a time, and the health and safety of our community is our highest priority. Vaccination is required.

The following guidelines apply to students, visitors, faculty, visiting artists, artist models, and staff:

1. If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please stay home, even if you test negative for COVID-19.

2. Masks are required for 10 days after receiving a positive Covid test.

3. Anyone who learns that they have contracted COVID-19 or has been exposed to someone who has contracted it should notify WSS immediately (Admin + Managing Director) so we can take appropriate measures to notify the relevant student and staff members who may have been exposed.

Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building. HEPA air purifier systems are used in classrooms.
