Wednesdays, 2-5pm, begins April 17*
5-weeks, In-person / Various Locations
$245
D.C. is home to wonderful sculpture; in public spaces outdoors, and indoors at its world-class museums. Learn to translate three-dimensional form onto a two-dimensional surface, while experiencing space as a material and seeing sculpture in a whole new context. Each week, this class will meet at a different location to discuss and draw from sculpture, from the classical to the contemporary, small to monumental. All locations will be in D.C., primarily centered around the National Mall, including NGA West & East; NGA Sculpture Garden; the Louise Nevelson sculpture at L St and Vermont NW; Hirshhorn, and more. A full schedule will be sent out before class begins, with alternative indoor sites for rainy days.
*This class is 5 weeks but does not meet on May 8th. The class will run 4/17- 5/22.
