In a world where bigger is often considered better, why work small? Many contemporary artists have chosen the challenge of creating an impact on a small scale as a statement of economy and environmental consideration, still leaving viewers with a strong emotional impact while reducing environmental and cost ramifications. This foundational course will utilize simple materials like hard graphite pencils and small subjects, students will learn to build marks in a layered and gestural way that packs a punch while creating space, form and strong composition.
Who is this class for: This class is for those totally new to drawing from observation as well as those who want to refresh their fundamental skills in seeing and drawing from life.
