First Friday Gallery ArtWalk Dupont Circle

June 2nd, 6pm - 8pm

Join us for June First Friday ArtWalk Dupont for a night of art and art-making. Experience the linocuts, monotypes, and dry point prints of Lee Butler and try your hand at creating a print of your own. June 2nd, 6pm - 8pm at Washington Studio School.

Washington Studio School (WSS) is pleased to present Shape Shifts, a solo exhibition featuring work by WSS Masters Certificate Program graduate Lee Butler.

Defying clear distinctions between abstraction and representation, Butler’s work instead evolves organically, mark-by-mark, the image dancing between the recognizable and the abstract. The show includes plein air oil paintings, thoughtful interior explorations, and exciting, gestural monotype prints.

First Friday ArtWalk Dupont is a wonderful way to explore Dupont Circle's galleries and art organizations though a self-guided and very walkable neighborhood tour. The ArtWalk takes place on the first Friday of each month and features the Dupont Circle arts community, as well as Dupont restaurants and businesses. The monthly event includes a gallery walk, live performances, and public art activations
